Cette œuvre matérialise la fonction cathartique de l’art puisqu’elle prend sa source dans l’histoire de l’artiste en faisant écho à sa scolarité particulièrement compliquée qui l’a amené à trouver refuge dans la pratique du surf et auprès de ses amis. Avec cette planche il tend à désacraliser cette idée selon laquelle l’épanouissement personnel de l’individu passe systématiquement par une scolarité longue et réussie.

This work materializes the cathartic function of art since it takes its source in the history of the artist by echoing his particularly complicated schooling which led him to find refuge in surfing and with his friends. With this board, he tends to desacralise the idea that the personal development of the individual systematically depends on a long and successful education.
