Ewa Bathelier puise son inspiration dans son riche passé de costumière et décoratrice de théâtre, un héritage  qui transparaît dans ses peintures acryliques remarquables. Installée en France depuis plusieurs années, elle explore avec délicatesse l’univers du ballet, en se concentrant sur les costumes.  Ses œuvres mettent en scène des robes, justaucorps et tutus légers et symboliques, flottant sur des fonds monochromes épurés. Dépourvus des corps qui devraient les habiter, ces vêtements suspendus évoquent une poésie silencieuse et intrigante.

Son travail est représenté par des galeries remarquable à New York, Miami, Saint-Tropez, Boston, Lakeville, Greenwich et Mexico. Ses œuvres ont également été mises à l'honneur lors de grandes foires et expositions internationales, notamment à Bruxelles et Atlanta.

Devoid of the bodies that should inhabit them, these suspended garments evoke a silent, intriguing poetry.
