Ce tableau est un clin d’œil à l’œuvre de Gustave Courbet, « L’origine du monde ».

 Ici Sébastien Dominici donne son interprétation de l’œuvre originale en rendant hommage au corps de la femme. L’admiration de l’artiste pour la femme est évoquée : il voit la femme comme un être qui a le pouvoir d’être passionnant, désirable, tendre et qui en même temps est d’une immense robustesse pour affronter la vie chaque jour et réussir l’exploit de donner la vie. Le rôle que donne la société à la femme est immérité, oppresseur et inégal. Trop souvent elles sont souvent reléguées au second plan : elles savent tout faire, font tout et ne sont pas reconnues. 

Dans cette œuvre l’artiste essaie d’imaginer la force nécessaire pour vivre dans une telle société patriarcale. Pour Sébastien Dominici : « On ne se rend pas compte que dans ce monde, la femme est tout. »

This painting is a nod to the work of Gustave Courbet, "The Origin of the World".

Here Sebastien Dominici gives his interpretation of the original work by paying tribute to the female body. The artist's admiration for the woman is evoked: he sees the woman as a being who has the power to be exciting, desirable, tender and who at the same time is of an immense robustness to face life every day and succeed in the feat of giving life. The role that society gives to women is undeserved, oppressive and unequal. Too often they are relegated to the background: they know how to do everything, do everything and are not recognized.

In this work the artist tries to imagine the strength needed to live in such a patriarchal society. For Sébastien Dominici: "We do not realize that in this world, the woman is everything."
