Né à Valenciennes dans le nord de la France en juillet 1967, guillaume CARON étudie, en réponse à ses aptitudes, les arts appliqués puis l’architecture d'intérieure. Plus tard il va être embauché comme graphiste dans une agence de communication en Belgique. Très vite, il va se rapprocher de la peinture en étant missionné sur la création et la réalisation de fresques avec des gros projets pour différents groupes nationaux et institutions … et des villes comme Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing, Paris, Marseille … Poursuivant une activité dans le design intérieur et le mobilier ( FNAC, l’agence de l’eau, EDF,... ), il crée en parallèle une activité artistique liée à la musique et au spectacle ( Gallery église St. Martin, Objectif Lune, Batofar …)  Depuis, toutes ces activités évoluant dans la création artistique et la peinture, tendent à ne former qu’une.  Par la suite le travail est axé sur le portrait, le regard et le masque. Le portrait comme surface visible de l’histoire de chacun. De nombreux séjours en forêt amazonienne, ont permis plusieurs projets artistiques dont, la mise en scène de vanités construites avec des insectes et traduites en une série de photos montrant l’évolution du processus.  Le thème des vanités est abordé également en 2007 lors du festival de CANNES, en présentation au MAJESTIC, de la série » gold, silver & black » ( crânes en 3D en référence à nos cartes de crédit, témoignant de notre rang social face à l’éternité ).

Born in Valenciennes in the north of France in July 1967, Guillaume CARON studied, in response to his skills, applied arts and then interior architecture. Later he will be hired as a graphic designer in a communication agency in Belgium. Very quickly, he will get closer to painting by being tasked with the creation and the realization of frescoes with big projects for different national groups and institutions… and cities like Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing, Paris, Marseille… Continuing an activity in interior design and furniture (FNAC, the water agency, EDF, etc.), he also created an artistic activity linked to music and entertainment (Gallery St. Martin's Church, Objectif Lune, Batofar, etc. ) Since then, all these activities evolving in artistic creation and painting, tend to form one. Subsequently the work is focused on the portrait, the gaze and the mask. The portrait as a visible surface of everyone's history. Many stays in the Amazon rainforest have allowed several artistic projects, including the staging of vanities built with insects and translated into a series of photos showing the evolution of the process. The theme of vanities is also addressed in 2007 during the CANNES festival, in presentation at MAJESTIC, of ​​the series "gold, silver & black" (3D skulls with reference to our credit cards, testifying to our social standing in the face of the 'eternity).
